Shoot ​me a note to get started (HERE)! I will set up a Zoom or Facetime meeting to virtually meet, discuss your details and your vision. If during (or after) the consult you feel we are a great match, we move onto the next step: choosing a date and chatting details!

 

CHOOSE YOUR DATE, CHAT LOCATION, EQUIPMENT & TIMELINE

We'll work together to discuss potential dates and your desired location. Or, if you're not sure where you want your adventure to be, we can brainstorm together! Certain locations could be affected by current covid closures, so if what you choose seems iffy, I will help research to determine what's feasible for your date. During this time we'll also discuss what types of equipment are recommended (If doing an outdoor adventure think about rain jacket, water, nutrition, outfit changes, props, etc.). Determining a timeline based on lighting, travel time, etc. will also be hashed out. Keep in mind - if you want epic lighting shots we'll want to be actually shooting close to sunrise or sunset!

LOCATION PAPERWORK

We'll investigate what paperwork needs to be completed to help make your dream a reality. Besides the legal marriage license (if applicable), many parks and venues require couples and/or photographers to fill out permits for their elopement or photo sessions. We'll need to make sure all of our bases are covered!

LOCK IT IN

Once a date, location and general timeline are agreed upon, I will send you a contract to officially lock your date in. A small deposit will be due at that time. And, due to weirdness in the world, I am extremely lenient with allowing transfer of this deposit if plans or dates change.  

 

VENDORS & MISC.

Who needs to be involved with this thing - Are you getting your hair done? Flowers arranged? Do you need an officiant? I am more than happy to help you brainstorm pieces needed for your big day, and send some recommendations your way.

TEST TECHNOLOGY (IF VIRTUAL CEREMONY)

I want to help your day run as smoothly as possible. If you have a platform chosen for your streaming, I can help you test it out before the big day (pretending to be a viewer), and brainstorm ways to get the word/directions  out to your virtual guests. Please keep in mind some locations may not have great reception - I recommend testing from your actual location to work out those kinks. Being at your actual location can also help prepare for the next step, which is creating a timeline for the day. Let's set this up for success!

TIMELINE

What's more important to you - epic lighting shots or convenience for your guests? Have you thought about different time zones for loved ones in another state or country? Commute time, hike time, set up, run through? We will chat ALL the details that go into trying to ensure timing is right. The more we plan now, the better the chances of a smooth run day-of.

Your day is here! I'll execute the plan as best as possible while taking detailed and documentary shots of it all. Formal or creative portraits will also be done if we had discussed in the planning phase.
